Hi there,I have been in IT for 10+ years, worked as IT Support, System Admin, IT Admin etc. Learning Enterprise Architecture - in Infrastructure.I hate being on the internet at all with this sucker anyway. So barring some magic to get IE8/xp and Opens a new window to actually work without IE saying "communication error" Or what's the least painful way to determine how to patch this sucker up to date. I'd just like to patch this stupid antique up to date then remove it from our network and it can merrily do its production run in a corner. IE8 goes to windows update and gives a boat load of communication errors. I'm still trying to patch it up to "semi-not as out of date" but after upgrading to IE8 and SP3 there's obviously still junk missing. It's a pc on our production floor that we had to upgrade from NT to XP. (just trying to politely block off all the helpful "upgrade to anything but xp".sigh. but it's running old legacy software so I"m stuck and no I can't virtualize it. LOL, thought I'd get out of the way the "it's unsupported" etc.
